Archives from the Pinky Minitel single-channel micro-server runned between 1986 and 1992 by Godefroy Troude. He dedicated an extensive archive page to this project. A worth reading website about this specific period in France with the Minitel system, with a transmission speed of only 1.2 Kbit/s or 120 characters per second. I’ve been made aware of this website through the Goto10 FTP archives of many Minitel serveurs. I’m always very impressed by this kind of ‘love’ project, from the initial idea and development to its full archiving and treatment. Back in 2017, I did a post on Studio Walter (in French) about this specific approach of amatorat and its participation to the construction of knowledge. Maximum respect!
